Toyota mulls iQ launch in US
Japanese auto giant Toyota Motor is mulling the introduction of its iQ micro car in the US, according to the company's senior vice president for US operations, Don Esmond.
The sub-three meter long car can reportedly carry up to four people and rivals Daimler's Smart Fortwo in size. The iQ already sells in Europe and Japan.
Mr Esmond said: "The Toyota IQ micro car being sold in Japan and Europe is another example of a world platform that we may want to adapt to the US market. The iQ can figure into Toyota's response to another world mega-trend - urbanization."
